Account Manager

We work with students and applicants so that they can create personalized, polished applications and have their best chance at admission to graduate and professional programs. We also serve high school students through coaching and tutoring across all subject areas. Location:

In person, in the office on Avenue Road in Toronto.

A glimpse of your responsibilities as a Salesperson at AYG:

  • Collaborate with and take instructions from the Executive Team
  • Assist the Executive Team in daily operations as needed
  • Ensure smooth sales and enrollment process collaboratively with Executive Team
  • Learn and understand AYG products, services, and client base
  • Attend and travel to all sponsorship and client events with Executive Team, or independently, as required, including national and international travel
  • Accurately update and maintain all relevant records and tracking systems in accordance with AYG’s SOPs
  • Create new and update SOPs as needed or as required by Executive Team
  • Proactively seek, connect meaningfully with, and nurture new lead sources and networks, and participating in community outreach and networking events
  • Proactively and regularly build and nurture new and existing leads
  • Take initiative to identify fresh and innovative opportunities and develop strategic plans to achieve company objectives
  • Responsible for all lead inquiries from online and in person sources, including walk-ins in office
  • Conduct Strategy Calls and nurture to conversion with required care and record keeping
  • Ensure smooth and successful client enrollment process
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets and objectives as defined by Executive Team 

The right candidate will value and possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, at minimum
  • Proficient in the use of integrated software systems and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Demonstrate skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff, and the public
  • Demonstrate skills in facilitating and modeling an elevated and inviting client environment orientation 
  • Ability to work effectively within a socially diverse student population located across Canada, the United States and internationally
  • Strong ability to work collegially and collaboratively and to be a “Team Player”
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply reflective and critical thinking in leadership and managing change 
  • Formal teaching experience
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales
  • The ability to motivate and encourage students and their parents or guardians
  • Resourceful approach to working with potential clients
  • Intentional and forward-thinking when curating a client journey for potential clients 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement AYG strategies and SOPs in client management 

Special Requirements:

  • Ability to meet a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and/or weekends
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel and/or participate in meetings, conferences and other AYG event related activities

Compensation: 

  • Base pay and commission, negotiable based on experience
  • Performance-based raises
