My name is Jake, an LSAT Coach with Apply Yourself Global!

I am currently a JD/MBA student at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management, expecting to graduate in 2029. Prior to law school, I completed my Honours Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy at the University of Toronto.

For me, the LSAT was a natural extension of the skills I had developed through studying English and Philosophy, especially careful reading, argument, interpretation, and critical thinking. Those interests shaped the way I approached the test, and they continue to inform the way I coach students through their own LSAT preparation.

My approach to LSAT coaching is structured, intentional, and individualized. Every student enters LSAT preparation with their own strengths, challenges, and goals, so I focus on helping students make each hour of practice purposeful, targeted, and guided by a clear plan. I believe students improve when they understand not only what they got wrong, but why they got it wrong and how to approach similar questions differently next time.

The LSAT can feel intimidating, and it is easy to start believing you are either “good” or “bad” at it. I do not believe that is the right way to approach preparation. The LSAT is a set of skills that can be developed with the right structure, feedback, and practice. Whether you are just starting out, feeling stuck, or working toward your next score goal, I’m here to help. I look forward to working with you!
